Movie - King Kong

We went to the theater to see King Kong the day before Christmas Eve. This was Tim's choice (obviously) and I was prepared to dislike this movie, but I didn't. It was better than I thought it would be. I have never seen any of the old King Kong movies, but from what I've read, it is fairly true to the "classic" version of King Kong. (I believe the 30's version).

It was a very clean movie, had some touching moments (which I didn't expect), had some humor, and lots of great action sequences (even though one of them I didn't enjoy nearly as much as Tim). I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to (but then again, I went in thinking I wasn't going to like it a bit).

My only knock to this movie is that it was really long. Don't go in and drink a huge Coke, because you won't make it!! It was about 3 hours long, maybe a little longer. It did go quickly though, and as Tim says "you get your money's worth when it is longer!"

We rate this an 8 out of 10.
